Call tracking for local businesses and the agencies that serve them
Every call, tallied.
Voxtally tells you how many calls came in, which ones were real jobs, which ones you missed, and where each caller heard about you, including when they say ChatGPT sent them.
Launching soon. We’ll email you once, when it’s ready.
- Calls always ring through
- Keep your own number
- Recordings deleted after 90 days
- Flat monthly price, no credits
The problem
The phone is where the work comes from. It’s also where it gets lost.
Calls are the sale.
Plumbers, roofers, lawyers and mechanics get their best jobs by phone. Website analytics never see them.
Missed calls are invisible.
A call that rings out while you’re on a job, or after hours, is a lost job, and nobody counts it.
Marketing is guesswork.
Listings, ads, your website, word of mouth: without call data, you can’t tell which one actually rings the phone.
How it works
Set up in an afternoon. Nothing changes for your callers.
- Get a tracking number.
Pick a local number for each place you advertise (your website, your Google listing, a flyer). Calls ring straight through to your phone.
- Answer as usual.
Callers hear a short recording notice, then your phone rings. If you can’t pick up, they can leave a message.
- Read the tally.
After each call, Voxtally writes a two-line summary: new customer or existing, what they need, whether it was booked, and how they found you.
Your main number stays on your listings, so your local search ranking isn’t touched.
Caller said
Did ChatGPT just send you a customer?
More people now ask AI assistants like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Claude for a local recommendation, then pick up the phone. Voxtally listens for it. When a caller says an AI tool sent them, the call is tallied under that tool, with the caller’s own words.
This is what callers say, not proof of cause. People misremember, so we show their words and the count, never a guess.
“My water heater’s leaking. I asked ChatGPT for a plumber near me and it said you.”
Features
What’s in the tally
Call log
Every call with time, duration, the caller’s city and the number they dialled.
AI summaries
Two lines per call: who, what they need, booked or not, how urgent.
Missed-call tally
Unanswered, after-hours and voicemail calls, with an estimate of what they were worth at your average job size.
Where they heard about you
By tracking number, plus what the caller said: Google, a neighbour, an AI assistant.
Recordings and transcripts
Listen back or read the conversation, labelled caller and business.
Your corrections win
Mark a call as a lead or a booking and every total updates.
For agencies
Built for agencies and the businesses they serve
Run call tracking for every client from one account. Each client gets their own numbers, tallies and summaries, and you see all of them side by side.
- A client roster with this week’s calls, leads and missed calls for each business
- A private share link per client: their results, no login needed
- View-only client logins, so a business owner can check their own calls
- Your name, logo and colour on everything your clients see
Tracking your own business? It works the same way: you’re your own first client.
FAQ
Questions
Will my callers know the call is tracked?
They’ll hear a short notice that the call may be recorded, then your phone rings. Recording laws in several states require that notice, so we play it on every recorded call. You can turn recording off for a location; calls are still counted.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep your number. Voxtally gives you extra local numbers to put on your website, ads or print, and those calls ring through to the phone you already use.
What happens if Voxtally has an outage?
Your calls still ring through. Every tracking number has a backup route straight to your phone, so a problem on our side can cost you a summary, never a call.
How do you know a caller came from ChatGPT?
We don’t claim to know. We report what the caller says (“I asked ChatGPT”) and count it. That’s why it’s labelled “caller said”.
Who can hear my recordings?
You and the people you add to your account. Recordings are kept for 90 days, then deleted. Transcripts and summaries are kept for 12 months. You can ask us to delete anything sooner.
Do you work with healthcare practices?
Not yet. Medical calls carry extra legal duties (HIPAA), so Voxtally isn’t for healthcare practices at launch.
Is this related to Algotally?
Yes. Algotally, from the same team, shows whether AI assistants recommend your business. Voxtally shows whether those recommendations ring your phone. They work on their own, and cost less together.
